RECYCLING & WASTE MANAGEMENT

Giving End-of-Life Tyres a New Purpose

From collection and mechanical processing to recycled rubber materials and new applications — a practical pathway from waste to valuable resources.

From Worn-Out Tyres to Reusable Materials

End-of-life tyres can be mechanically processed to recover rubber, steel and textile fractions. Depending on the material specification and intended application, the recovered rubber can be used in products such as rubber flooring and rubber-modified asphalt.

01 | Collection & Sorting

Used and worn tyres are collected and sorted before processing. This first stage helps organise the material stream and prepare tyres for the recycling line.

02 | Shredding & Size Reduction

Specialised shredding equipment cuts tyres into smaller pieces. Further grinding can reduce the rubber to granules or crumb, depending on the required output size.

03 | Material Separation

Steel wire and textile fibres are separated from the rubber. Screening and additional size reduction help prepare recovered rubber for selected downstream uses.

04 | New Applications & Export

Processed rubber can become a raw material for products such as impact-absorbing flooring, mats and rubberised asphalt. Suitable products and specifications are assessed for buyer requirements and export cooperation.

Recycled Rubber. Multiple Uses.

Depending on the grade, particle size and end-use requirements, recovered tyre rubber may be used in a range of applications.

Recycled Rubber Granules

Recovered rubber granules can be supplied as a material for further manufacturing, including rubber flooring products, subject to the required formulation and specifications.

Rubberised Asphalt

Selected crumb rubber can be incorporated into asphalt mixtures for road surfacing. Suitability depends on the engineering specification and the paving method.
